The Eau Claire North Huskies baseball team goes into this year with an opportunity to improve on last season’s finish. And last year’s team set the bar high, finishing with a 19-3 record and a Big Rivers Conference championship.

The Eau Claire Public Transit System could lose up to 33 percent of its budget now that collective bargaining rights are no longer available to Wisconsin workers. This, coupled with the proposed cuts in Gov. Scott Walker’s fiscal plan for the upcoming year, could lead to major changes.
