The Pink Event will be covering downtown in pink bows and collecting money for breast cancer the entire month of October. Proceeds from the walk, silent auction, and collections from participating businesses will be given to the American Cancer society.

After hearing advice from a consulting firm, Downton Eau Claire Inc. was formed to start revitalizing downtown. Volume One owner Nick Meyer said it is the best effort yet to improve downtown, but some business owners still said that more can be done.
